California 2011

Dylan and I traditionally spend the 4th of July week in California with his family, but we haven't been the past couple of years because of our little Evan. This year however, we made the trip. We started off spending time in San Diego with Dylan's mom at her vacation condo.
This was Evan's first time to the beach and though he didn't like the water, he LOVED playing in the sand.







The weather was beautiful and we spent as much time outside as possible. We spent a whole day in San Diego just walking around the Harbor, looking at the boats and the water.


I think I enjoyed the Birch Aquarium more than Evan, but he did enjoy petting the Star Fish and the huge fish tank.






Everyone who heard we were going to San Diego told us we had to go to the zoo...So, we did! Evan loved every bit of it. (and I did too!!) So many animals to see and so little time!







After about a week in San Diego, we headed north to Bear Valley Springs. Evan's favorite part was watching the hot air balloons go up. His favorite were the smiley face and the panda bear balloons.




We spent the rest of the trip in LA just relaxing and enjoying time with family.


It was an incredible vacation filled with priceless memories.
